Over
80,000 Employment Opportunities
The Iowa Workforce
Development predicted there would be an estimated 31,500 new jobs
created in Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities between 1996
through 2005. Those 31,500 jobs are in addition to another 49,000 jobs
that would be available because of people who retire. This is great
news for high school students in the Cedar Rapids community. These
figures do not even include jobs openings that will be available due
to turnover. Broken down by general category, the list below indicates
where you will find these careers.
